Be a Local Hero

Foster carers transform children’s lives

Rotherham’s foster carers provide warm, loving, family homes in the heart of the community.

They help our children stay close to the things that matter most, like family, friends and school.

That’s why they’re our local heroes.

Watch the videos below - their stories will inspire you!

What our heroes do

In Rotherham, our team of fostering heroes care for approximately 400 children.

They protect the vulnerable

Children who come into our care are some of society’s most vulnerable children.

They keep families together

We need foster carers for children aged 10 years and over, and for sibling groups.

They help local children

We have many more Rotherham children who need a local, loving, fostering family.

Can you help? - Be the next local hero!

If you think you could be a foster carer, and become a local hero too, then we want to hear from you.
